Aapril Cumming is a dynamic, charismatic, and passionate HR leader with 25+ years of experience. Aapril spent the first decade of her HR career supporting a Fortune 100 financial services company where she spent her time launching training programs, strategizing and implementing executive communication, and managing the succession plan and leadership development for the largest, most profitable segment of the company.
For the last 10 years, Aapril has brought her HR expertise to luxury hospitality organizations, where service is the product. In a recruiting capacity, she applied exacting process improvement to increase the efficiency of recruiting efforts and quality of candidates. In learning & development, she led organizations in cultural shifts to attain and maintain Forbes 5 Star luxury service standards, with three multi-5 Star properties to her credit.
Aapril is a no-nonsense analytical thinker, with keen emotional intelligence and a great ability to connect with people. In her HR work, Aapril’s two primary goals are always to place people in roles where they not only are an invaluable team member, but also a good culture fit, and to leave people and rooms better than she found them.
